Chronicles of Giveaways: Win for Yourself a Hair Makeover!

>> Monday, April 23, 2012

It's graduation season {congrats to my brother!} and you know what I did right after graduation, which was six years ago? I dyed my hair. I think I've chronicled well enough in this post all the changes I've done and well, six years after, I'm a regular when it comes to coloring every single strand. If I were to look back, I'd say most of the positive changes were brought about by a change in hair color: bolder decisions, newer possibilities, a more brilliant character. The issue of changing hair color may seem silly but never knock it till you've tried it.

My last day as a girl with black hair. And then everything sort of changed.

From the vault {these pictures are about 4-6 years old!}

Chronicles of Vanity, together with probably the only brand which I use in hair coloring {honestly, what else is there?} and leader in hair coloring technologies, brings to you: The Chroma Makeover Giveaway! Like me, I'd want readers {especially those who've never undergone hair coloring} to find out all the difference we get with red, brown, ash blonde or copper hair. The choices are endless!

All you have to do is tell me in the comments section why you deserve a hair makeover together with an email address so I can contact you when you win.

You had me at soft and shiny :D

Notes:
  • One comment per reader, contest is limited to Metro Manila readers. I will be picking one winner.
  •  The makeover will be done at a L'oreal Professionel partner salon {not to worry, this would be all over Metro Manila}

I think I deserve the hair make-over because even though people would tell me that I don't brush or comb my hair, and that I look luka-luka with my hair, I don't let them affect me and I just smile at them. But sometimes it becomes too much that I feel ashamed of my hair and tend to lose my innate confidence. I am also human and still get hurt. They would tell me to cut off my hair but still I don't listen to them. I kept my hair long for a year already and I don't want to cut this short even of it's frizzy and somehow dry. I still try my best to take care of it as much as I could. Whatever other people say, I cannot afford to lose the connection I have with my hair. I believe that our hair is beyond the crowning glory of a girl. It also adds up confidence in whatever we do and wherever we go.

I hope through Chronicles of Vanity and L'oreal Professionel Salon you can help me show to the world that together with my hair, I still have a chance to shine.

Hi Tara!
I deserve this hair makeover because I am a hair-color-virgin. I've been contemplating on getting my hair some color but fear gets in the way. I am scared of ruining my hair, of choosing the wrong color. I think with your help and L'Oreal's expertise, I'd be able to choose the right color and I'd be less scared during the whole dyeing process.
And yes, I have another reason. I believe my hair deserves a makeover because it has been the same way it used to be for more than 7 years now. :)

Hello Tara! :) I deserve to win this hair makeover because my hair is as dry as a bone and I want to change my hair color too! I've done so many things (read: perm and color) on my hair which result to an unmanageable hair. I haven't given hair treatments to my hair for so looooong already. If only my hair could walk, I bet she must have gone away from me already. So, I believe that this hair makeover would be such a savior to my undeniably dry mane! Thank you for this great great giveaway, Tara!!! :)

I want to win a hair makeover because I've been trying to do DIY's in my hair several times already but I can't seem to find the perfect hairstyle for me. It's always a big FAIL :(

So this time, with L'Oreal and the experts, I know this is the perfect time for my hair to shine!!! Yeheyyy :)

I’ve always been low-maintenance since the pregnancy. I will be giving birth soon and would like a hair-make-over as a reward of entering the world of motherhood. I’d like a more flattering cut and hair color to offset my rounder post-pregnancy face. I haven’t tried hair color since birth and I can only trust L’oreal Professionel hair experts on this.

I deserve a makeover because I have colored my hair twice but the effect seems to wear off or the color doesn't stuck on my hair because of wrong ratio of water and color powder. I wanted a makeover because I want to see a fiercer and more confident me, a more convincing Marie.

I want a makeover because I am embracing a new self and a new look this 2012. I would like to look chic, edgy and fabulous this year and a professional salon would make it perfect for me.

I deserve a hair makeover because I've had the same hairstyle since college, and it's been five years since I've graduated. I deserve and want the change hehe Most stylists don't want to change my perennial "soft-layered hairstyle" due to my hair's texture, frizzy and unruly. Hence, I usually just wear my hair in a ponytail. With the hair makeover, I can now look sleek and professional, and finally let my hair down, with confidence. :)

I'd love to win a make-over because I'm sad and kawawa with my dry, unhealthy and frizzy mess of a hair: a combination of genes and bad parlor service. I'm not exactly loaded so I usually end up at the not-so-good salons. I'd love to win this opportunity so that I can finally experience world class hair treatment which will give me shiny, straight hair (plus, it will help me give me back my self-confidence)! =)

I NEED a makeover because I barely pamper myself and I've never undergone a hair transformation before--as in never been dyed, cut into a drastic style, etc.! As a nursing student with a long, hectic, irregular, and sleepless schedule, the stress has took a toll on my hair by making it fine, limp, frizzy, and faded from stress and sun exposure. I hope to win this prize so that before the my last school year starts again, I can simplify my life by not having to worry about my hair anymore and I can confidently dash around, since I now that it's revived and well-taken cared of no matter the situation! I hope to win this so that I can show to others the fantastic results Loreal Chroma can do to my hair!

They said experience is the best teacher. And I learned my lesson the "hard and humiliating" way. I vow never to dye my own hair with just any OTC hair dye. I need a makeover because I look really ridiculous. It's soooo bad, I don't want to leave my house without a hat or a head cover (and I never wear hats on a normal day). My roots are blonde and the rest of my hair dark. To top it off, my hair is dry and frizzy. Help!

Hi Ms. Tara. I deserve this make over with the No.1 brand of shampoo in the Philippines, L'oreal because I want to bring back the beauty and shine of my hair. Now a days, I'm experiencing five problems with my hair (hair fall, roughness, dryness, dullness and split-ends) that really makes me feel bad and awkward especially when I have to go outside of our house. I know that there's only one solution for this, a hair make over with L'oreal. If you'll choose me to be the lucky winner in this contest, I promise that it'll be all worth it. I can finally have the chance to choose the perfect color for my hair and after the hair make over, I already have the confidence to flaunt my hair in public especially this coming May 29 which is my graduation day! :)

Plus, I also want to get some advice from you on how to maintain a gorgeous hair. :)

Dear Tara,

I know that I deserve to have a hair makeover by L'Oreal, Tara! I have been dealing with my ugly, frizzy, dry and unmanageable hair for a very long time now. Way back in grade school, I remember my classmates calling me "Sabog" and literally they don't call me by my name because of my very "buhaghag" hair that's all over my face. I felt bullied because of how I looked back then. High school and college life, there was still no escaping with my friends telling me, "Marian, maybe you should treat your hair for a new color? or cellophane perhaps?kahit ano para maganda tignan hair mo girl!" Fast forward to today, I am now a mother of two. Working full time and taking care of my children didn't give me the time to pamper myself. As a doting mom, I am this type that would say to myself, "Hmpf.. I'd rather buy my kids milk than prettify myself!" I think this attitude got the better of me when even my hubby started telling me that, "Maybe you should get a new hairstyle, or perhaps dye your hair? Hindi ka ba nagsasawa sa buhok mo?" (READ: You look unattractive and haggard, honey!) Every single day, before I go to work, I dry my hair and won't leave without ironing my hair. Imagine that! I'm wearing the same dull, black, lifeless hair for more than 10 years now. I badly need a hair makeover! I'm not afraid to experiment! It's just that I don't know what to do with my hair anymore! I just want to have a vibrant and healthy looking hair! I want to see color and life for my hair! This I know would help me boost that confidence in me and would probably help me forget that once in my life, kids labelled me as that "Sabog" student! I badly need this hair makeover! Please do justice for my hair L'Oreal! I want to flaunt a new me proudly telling everyone, "It's L'Oreal!" Thank you!

I am hurt whenever people think that I am in my early 30's (I'm only 25!). Some say that my long, straight-cut hair makes me look like a manang. They always encourage me to try a different cut but I choose to stick to my boring do because chopping off my hair might not suit me. I've also read on various magazines and blogs that a lighter hair color will make a person look younger. I tried to DIY dye my locks twice but I think the color made me look like a matrona instead. I want to have it done in a salon but I can't afford the price. I badly need a Chroma Makeover because L'oreal Professionel surely knows the haircut and hair color that would make me look my age (or even younger). Super hoping to win :)
