OOTD: It's not what you wear, it's how it makes you feel

>> Wednesday, October 3, 2012

There is a dilemma that is beginning to be common to me and among my blogger friends {Yes, Shen and Martha, that's you!}.

You see, it's a privilege to be invited to prestigious events that I never imagined I'd be part of until this blog, thanks to you, my dear readers, that it has started to gain traction and readership. With it, though, comes a nice problem to have: What to wear? Normally, it's not a big a problem but then we photograph and display ourselves too much that we end up using all the dresses we have at hand and successfully will ourselves to 'need' more clothes. But of course, a frugal little girl like me will always go for some creative recycling.

Kerastase's Grands Crus launch called for some dressy dressing up so I opened my closets for a full hour before finally settling with a printed sheath dress I got from Singapore last year. The invite said fuchsia, green, purple or gold so why not wear one dress that seems to have everything in it?

As y'all know, I am a non-8-5 corporate girl through and through so it's a must, if I have no time in the evening to change, that it must pass {if only at least, almost} HR standards.

The thing is --- I don't feel well at all when I'm not liking what I'm wearing. It's kind of sick sometimes, cos my whole well being depends on what I look like. Not that it has to be of a designer brand --- it is that when I feel like dressing down and being in jeans, I need to be in jeans. Or if I'm in a girly mood, it would suck so much if I have to wear jeans as mandated. There are days that I keep three pairs of shoes in my bag because one minute I'd like to be in my Yosi Samra flats and next minute in my favorite Nine West shoes.

For the launch, I slipped into my new Rajo Laurel x Parisian heels. I left them in the backseat of my car and as I rushed to get off at the valet, I thought of them spur of the moment and slipped them on. They are gorgeous, don't you think? Like bondage shoes with that piece de resistance of the tassels.

It can be a bit fickle, don't you think?

But I guess that's the beauty of being a girl, you can change your mind numerous times and not be judged about it. We can choose a short dress, a flighty, floaty ensemble or a structured suit in the walls of the office. There are the classic pumps and the strappy red stilettos. Then there's the issue of the handbag, the lipstick, the hue of the blusher and the finish of the skin.

A woman's life, despite other things, is a wonderful confluence of choices.

The beautiful Glowie Robillo introduces the newest products of Kerastase and its beautiful ambassadors.

We sniffed and smelled the new variants and personally, I love the purple one!

Maita Gaerlan of Kerastase has the sexiest voice ever, you should hear her speak!
Well, she's beyond gorgeous, too.

Speaking of choices, here are the four variants of the new Kerastase Elixir Ultime, which was launched last week:

Classic Gold for fine hair, Millennium Rose Violet, Imperial Tea Pink for colored hair and Moringa Green for treated hair.

Am excited to get my strands spoiled in pure Kerastase luxury and I should be sharing that soon!

As for now: What's your dressing psychology like?
