Style Icon: Amal Alamuddin-Clooney

2014 was abuzz with the woman who finally, finally ensnared {or willfully submitted himself} George Clooney, Amal Alamuddin. I don't need to go into details of who she is, but in a nutshell, the woman is a modern meritocrat: Amal Ramzi Clooney is a London-based British-Lebanese lawyer, activist, and author. She is a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers, specialising in international law, criminal law, human rights, and extradition.

Not only that, she has extraordinary style {or stylist!} and a very smart reason for being threatened with arrest. The threat was borne out of Alamuddin's speaking out for three Al Jazeera journalists in Egypt. Couldn't help but notice the difference with her, and other celebrities' reasons for being arrested: for drunk driving, possession of drugs, or ill conduct.

Now, back to the woman's sense of style. And FABULOUS hair. Look at that hair!

The pantsuit she wore to their Venice civil wedding with the wide-brim hat is my favorite Amal look.

She's really leggy, yeah? And she obviously has a thing for huge sunnies.

This gorgeous red number though

Dolce & Gabbana black and white dress

And this is how she does casual. How is she not a model?

And this is how she travels.

... and this is how she looks when she works.

I guess that makes  the three women {Amal Alamuddin, Kate Middleton and Blake Lively} who form part of my style icons.

Happy Sunday!
