Foodie Post: Chi's Brick Oven Kichen
Last Sunday, TBF and I went to dine at Chi's Brick Oven Kitchen over at Aguirre St. in BF Homes Paranaque before going to church. I've read a lot of reviews about this and so being one from the "dirty" south, I knew I had to try it.
Mini trivia: Aguirre St. in BF Paranaque is home to a lot of quaint restaurants that offer reasonably-priced but SUPER yum food. If you do ever visit BF Paranaque, you should try at least one resto :)
For the evening, I ordered Rigatoni in 3 cheese sauce and red tea:

Rigatoni and 3-cheese sauce PHP 255.00 - Good for 2, Red Iced Tea PHP 50.00 TBF ordered the Baked Spaghettini (such a safe and kiddie order, don't you think?) Heh :P Plus he ordered the Blue Lemonade which I swapped with my Red Iced Tea because I liked the combination of its sour and sweet notes. :)

Baked Spaghettini
Ps. 225.oo - Good for two

Blue Lemonade
Ps. 50.00
We ordered the Chocoholic's Pizza (Ps. 125.00) for dessert as well. "
Mini choco chips on top of grated white chocolate on top of our own chocolate cake batter." Unfortunately, it didn't live to pose for a photo as the dessert-loving couple munched on the dessert pizza almost immediately. Heh.
Verdict:
I find Chi's Brick Oven Kitchen a nice place to dine in if you're craving for non-traditionally cooked Italian food. I'm not sure if they intended the pasta to be reminiscent of Italian [of course it's pizza/pasta but it can be Filipino, right?], but it did taste Italian to me. I especially loved the Spaghettini more than my Rigatoni, except that i didn't come with any Foccaccia bread :(
In terms of ambiance, the lighting is perfect, they have cutesy woven placemats and coasters. The smoking area is a PLUS. There isn't just so much space, though. The place was packed when we visited last Sunday.
Personally, I believe that Sunday is an indulge-day in terms of food, so if you want exquisite dessert, in the form of dessert pizzas, try theirs!
I give this resto (woot!): 4 stars. Yay!
