Chronicles of Eyes: VMV Re-Everything Eye Serum Review
I have to thank the subject of eye creams for creeping themselves into my life and for being the subject of my fun conversations with my colleagues. I guess the age bracket of 26-30 is panic inducing for us who's almost about to cross that border where we cannot anymore feign youth.

Over and over, people I meet in the beauty industry would be telling me to take care of my eyes. I guess that's the reason why I've started way earlier than most people I know when it comes to the subject of eye creams {22 years old, if you wanna know}. My very first eye cream was from shu uemura but they phased it out. Today, I'm on probably my nth bottle of eye creams since. Today's eye cream feature is VMV Re-Everything Eye Serum.

Instant, temporary tightening plus longer-term cellular renewal, anti-aging + antioxidant therapy. Firmer, less puffy, rejuvenated skin around/under eyes. Also for problem areas like the nasolabial area + skin around the lips. Refirm: a soy-protein-derived polymer provides a mild, immediate, temporary tightening that subtly mimics the effects of some clinical injectables. Revive: a powerful vasoactive, helps diminish under-eye puffiness + dark circles. Renew: A gentle dose of unbuffered glycolic acid provides mild microdermabrasion appropriate for the thin-skinned area surrounding the eyes. Regenerate: Kinetin growth factor promotes cell rejuvenation, causing skin cells to act younger. Proven to stimulate fibroblasts to produce more collagen + elastin. Kinetin is also a potent antioxidant. Revitalize: with two more antioxidants - green tea + rice phytic acid (also an exfoliant). Minimizes the appearance / severity of fine lines, wrinkles + other signs of (photo) aging. Helps rejuvenate, retexturize + refirm skin, making it notably tauter, softer, smoother + more youthful in appearance + behavior.

I'm not a complete eye cream geek but from experience, the thicker, the better. Not necessarily effective but I find the serum types easily osmosizes into the eye skin area {say what?}. Anyway, here are my thoughts on my favorite eye cream so far:
- VMV Re-Everything Eye Serum is a bit unconventional -- looks in between cream and green and brown. I normally apply this at night so I don't notice the color.
- This eye serum is missing the normal skincare smell --- smells like some grain mixed with bamboo.
- It's pretty viscous --- which is a big plus in my book. Spreads quite easily though and I feel that it gets absorbed easily.
- I can't tell the difference but what I do know is that I did not develop lines and wrinkles in the eye area.
- Eye area doesn't feel dry nor heavy. YAY!
- No dark eye bags. YAY!
- No need to pack on the concealer. YAY!
- Not bad at PHP 1,975.00
- How I do it: I apply eye cream/serum twice a day, once in the morning and another at night. I just pat a pea size of it onto the eye area with my ring finger. For mornings, I dab powder on top of it, too.

Using eye cream definitely does not make me look younger but I do hope to retain my eye area elasticity for a long, long time :)
Overall: I've always had the same philosophy for eye creams as I do with insurance --- gotta do it before you need it. No one will ever know the effects until we're old enough and eyes are super saggy. If you're age 25 and up, I'd recommend to start using one, if you have the resources and time to apply it every night.
VMV Re-Everything Eye Serum is available at all VMV stores and online.
