Smashbox's 2017 Holiday Collection is The Right Kind of Pretty

HOLA! :) Hope you're doing well right now -- as for me, I am a bit sick from something I ate so I'm just recuperating at home instead of being productive. Oh well. Today, let me talk to you about a holiday collection of one of the most cult brands we are all following: Smashbox. I know they're pretty popular for their photo finish primers, and I am a fan of it. I am particularly in love as well with their brushes, I still keep a set from two holiday collections ago.

Smashbox Ablaze Palette

This year's Smashbox Holiday collection is all about being in the spotlight and standing out in the crowd. I used to have an episode of being a wallflower, not realizing and harnessing my strengths but I got over it. Now I've embraced the fact that I'm really just ~extra~ in pretty much everything. I like achieving, I like groups of people and I like recognition. So be it.

Going back to Smashbox, their Cover Shot Eye Palettes (P1,500 each) are brought to life in campaigns by Pretty Little Liars star, Shay Mitchell. Each palette contains two base shades (top part of palette) and six blendable accent colors to play up your look and mood. Four palette variants are available locally: Ablaze, Matte, Metallic, and Golden Hour.

While the palettes are all of high merit on their own, to me, the most outstanding part of the collection would have to be it's 3-pan highlighter palette. It calls itself a personal lighting system and can't argue. Look at that finely milled shimmery powder. It's just a fine addition to my rack of highlighters. Similarly, the lip tubes are to die for, amazing color payoff, long lasting and those shades are so pretty. The shades of the liquid lip tubes are so woke, like one is called Always On. Love, love love it.

Overall: I am very happy with this certain collection. It's wearable {I am not good with outrageous shades sorry} so this will be useful post holiday and useful for all those holiday parties.

Smashbox is available at all Beauty Bar stores and online.
