Day 18: Whom do you admire the most?

I have my fair share of women whom I admire the most. Most of them I'm lucky to be friends with or to be connected to {hello, mother!} but since reasoning why I admire them would make me reveal admirable truths about other people, who are keen on their privacy, I choose to share the women {and man!} whose achievements are public enough:

Mireille Guiliano | Former Veuve Clicquot CEO
This former career woman wowed and inspired me with her business smarts. I still carry with me the wisdom I've learned from her book and have passed it on to many.

Oprah Winfrey

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.

Hardships and traumatic life experiences brought this woman to become the wise person that she is, the one who is responsible for inspiring millions of women. Not a bad way to recover. Cheers to the best life!

And last but definitely not the least:

Tony Hsieh | CEO of Zappos.com

I've recently read his book, Delivering Happiness, a book I picked up from Fully Booked because I saw a lone copy and thought that I saw his name somewhere, like a Forbes list of sorts. I read it and I felt myself go through a rollercoaster of inspiration career-wise. He has transformed the way business is being conducted and hopefully more companies will follow suit. My thoughts about him and his book definitely deserves another post.

For now, those are the three people I admire the most.
Who are yours?
