The Perfect Beauty Start Up Story: Glam Glow

The setting was perfect --- it was probably the first launch held inside the ultra posh, ultra elevated {71st story} interiors of 71 Gramercy and there were celebrities and Manila socialites whizzing by. Sometimes I wonder -- what the hell am I doing in these kinds of places anyway? It's not like it continues to be my thing but every now and then, I dangle out of my comfort zone, strap on my highest heels and put on a brave face.

That night, I braved the Makati traffic and got to find out one of the biggest stories of Hollywood: Glamglow Mud. Their website tells all about the Dellimore couple's glamorous story of coming up with a mask formula that seems to give its user the most perfect skin. What I do remember from that night of amaretto sours though was how Glenn and Shannon took up all of their courage to sample their masks all around Hollywood. If you've ever heard of stories from LA and people wanting to make it big, it is pretty inspiring to know that the Dellimore couple soldiered on through the bad economy back then. Well, it did help that the couple had actor friends and I'd assume, really great connections. And now, the "miracle" mud is in Manila.

When I first posted about Glamglow in my Instagram, I got even more excited as some folks who liked in LA commented how Glamglow is an amazing, holy grail product. There's a plethora of female celebrities in Hollywood who uses it but I took note of Keanu Reeves.

Keanu Reeves!

I can easily understand why celebrities have to go through such "high maintenance." When you're being Googled multiple times a day, being photographed by paparazzis and looked at in big screens, you'd want to be poreless and glowing, too. I know I do! At this age even, and if I had a boyfriend who might propose any time, I would probably use Glamglow everyday just in case he decides to propose and put the entire thing on video.

Of course, nobody waits for special occasions to use special mud masks. Especially not me!

The truth is, I do not use this as frequently as my other masks because it's expensive! However, whenever I do, these are my observations:

Β

  • No breakouts, no allergies. But do test it out on your skin if you plan on using this.
  • I like the scent :D Normally, black gooey stuff freak me out and you won't catch me putting it on my face. I do have a big exception and that is if the thing smells great {the other black stuff I applied on my face before was Pond's Charcoal and I loved that smell. Like yummy man scent!}

Glamglow is available at the Beauty Section of SM Makati, SM Mega Mall, SM Aura Premier; at Fresh Fragrance Bar in Eastwood, Alabang Town Center, Century Mall and Glorietta 5; and Art of Scent in Shangri-La Plaza Mall and Resorts World Manila. Visit GLAMGLOWMud.com or Sephora.
