Chronicles of Lipsticks: Happy Skin's Shut Up and Kiss Me in The Morning After
I know I am not the only one in this city who is raving about the much hyped {and hype, it so deserves} Shut Up and Kiss Me Lipsticks. For one, Happy Skin lipsticks come in fabulous shades, are long lasting and because of the pencil format, can double as lip liners. When the ladies of Happy Skin sent out an invite for their summer collection, I happily sent my RSVP and looked forward to what they are launching.

With the ladies of Happy Skin {Jacqe Yuengtian and Rissa Mananquil-Trillo} at 71 Gramercy and I'm feeling short. LOL

A limited edition box of 3 costs PHP 1,249 and one stick retails for PHP 549

L-R: Summer Crush, The Morning After and Sunset Kiss

On a hot April day, I reached for a Happy Skin lippy and roadtested it, as I have with HS' permanent colors {First Kiss review here}. This April, I used The Morning After, a subtle mauve stick.

FOTD: Ellana Minerals Foundation in French Vanilla Latte
K Palette Eyebrow Liners{mixed two shades}
Fairydrops Platinum Mascara
Bobbi Brown's Brightening Brick in Pink
Majolica Majorca Sparkling White Pencil

Thoughts on Happy Skin's The Morning After:
- While the idea was the lipstick to give a nude glow, I find that The Morning After appears darker on me, more of a MLBB kind of impression.
- Subtlety is always appreciated.
- Like its Happy Skin sisters, The Morning After follows the same moisturizing formula and is in fact, very creamy despite having matte finish.
- Long lasting --- no need to retouch that often.
- Economical at PHP 549 per stick. My other Shut Up and Kiss Mes are still long ways to go.
