Chronicles of Foundations: L'oreal True Match in W3

There were weeks when I was wondering, how come there was not a lot of art galleries to go to in this city. It was summer, and people's destinations were either the beach or the mall, the latter being not my favorite option unless I really had to buy something {like groceries or sports stuff}. I wanted some inspiration, an hour to drown in someone else's abstractness, to not get things straightforwardly, to discover new sensations and feelings. It's one of those Futura Kind of Days.

Thankfully, some beauty blogger gigs are a little more artsy than the others, like this one from L'oreal True Match, which was held at one of the up and coming galleries in Manila, Nova Gallery.

They had a young artist, Jope, who drew all the guests on the spot {I was moving around, hehe} but true to its Parisian brand essence, L'oreal folks were able to transform the place into a Parisian gallery.

The artist used each of the various True Match shades for the muses' skin.

And the muses demonstrate the different shades in person, too.

What I Think About the Foundation:

  • A little bit heavier than Shiseido's, but runnier than Max Factor's Whipped Creme. You can say that it's in the middle when it comes to consistency which is still apt in this humid, super-hot weather.
  • Medium to heavy coverage. The good thing about buildable coverage is that you can choose to amplify it when needed --- like if you're attending an event in the evening, and sheer coverage for daytime.
  • I'm not a big fan of the screw cap bottle, and I'm kinda missing the pump.
  • Haven't broken me out, so hooray! Note: Never, ever forget to remove your makeup at night though.
  • W3 is my true match. What's yours?
  • It has SPF 17. I'm a believer of standalone SPF but any additional SPF is always welcome.
  • Available in a wide array of shades at PHP 899 at leading beauty stores.
