How to Keep Oilies at Bay: Make Up For Ever's Step 1

There's a common question I get from friends, and it's almost always about how to retain a great base throughout the day. The problem with a hyper socialized age is that we snap pictures almost every hour, every day. Sometimes we look washed out, and sometimes for fear of looking too pale, we pat on too much makeup. I'm guilty of this sometimes. But not since I've discovered primers!

Today's short review is all about Make Up For Ever's Step 1, which will be available this January 2015, at all MUFE branches:

Whew! I haven't seen so many variants of one product. Each variant/color does a certain function. Here's a cheat sheet for your reference:

I got the blue one {anti-blemish} and the dark gray one {mattifying base} and I'm amazed with the results!

The tube has a really narrow spout, so I don't accidentally spurt out too much product. YAY!
The dark gray variant indeed reduced oil appearance in my face, and I didn't have to reapply foundation, or powder throughout the day. I've been using Rimmel London's Matte powder lately, which is very light.
Makeup is easier to remove --- which is the best reason for me to use primers. This is true for other brands, too!
The Equalizer Complex, which is a core of active ingredients that runs throughout the range and acts on hydration, elasticity and cellular renewal.
Acti Tensor 3D - a complex of sugars that redesigns the skin's texture to blur imperfections and lift the facial contours.
1. Regeactive - a vegetable sugar that boosts cellular renewal and regenerates the upper levels of the epidermis for a more even texture that looks totally unified.
2. High molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid - to guard against imperceptible water loss and sheathe the skin in a perfectly invisible hyper-hydrating film.

Overall, MUFE Step 1 successfully overtakes its predecessor and is a worthy investment, especially if you apply foundation everyday. On special days, this will make your foundation last longer, too!
