VMV's Oil and Oil-Free Makeup Removers

Tis the season for fatty goose liver, holiday binge eating, endless Christmas parties and merrymaking. It can mean a lot of makeup, too!

What's a girl got to do? I can't stress enough how important it is to remove makeup every night. I am a victim of forgetting to do this sometimes --- and I'm paying for it dearly. I still have remnants of my acne from years ago. I wish I had the patience to do this every night. Still, options never run out. Today, I'm sharing with you new products from our friends at

VMV HypoallergenicsGentle & Softening Makeup Removing Oil, PHP 850

Contains USDA-certified organic virgin coconut oil for unrivaled moisturization (its fatty acids are native to skin). Also has anti-inflammatory and some anti-microbial properties to soothe skin while giving it a real clean.
Skin-enriching coconut-derived fatty acids provide additional anti-inflammatory moisturization.
With hydrating glycerin and green tea for antioxidant benefits.
Allergen-free. Excellent to help keep sensitive or dry skin soothed, comfortable, moisturized and healthy, particularly in those who need to use heavy makeup regularly.

Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Caprylyl Methicone, Glyceryl Laurate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract.

Thoughts:

  • Smelled like VCO, which is a plus since I love VCO!
  • Effectively strips off makeup without feeling like it's harmful to the skin
  • Still a bit oily after washing with water, one may need to still cleanse with a soap-based cleanser
  • Huge bottle for price of PHP 850
  • Hooray for being available online!
  • Usage is similar to Shu Uemura's cleansing oil

Oil-Free Quick and Complete Makeup Remover, PHP 850

This oil-free formulation effortlessly erases eye + face makeup in a few quick swipes.
Soft and easy on skin.
With hydrating glycerin to moisturize while removing makeup and green tea for antioxidant benefits.
Allergen-free, oil-free. Excellent to help maintain skin health in those who need to use heavy makeup regularly.

Thoughts:

  • Removed all traces of makeup {cotton pad was clean on the third swipe}, no oil indeed, too.
  • If you're the afraid-of-oil type, this one is for you.
  • No scent, no sting.
  • No breakouts, hooray!
  • If you're lazy to wash after, it's okay. No icky oily feeling anyway.
