What I Know For Sure: To Be Kind
The week had been a whirlwind, and as always, I feel like a labada, thrown into the washing machine and spun.
There are good points to be found though, and despite some pickles, it's an amazing Sunday. I am off to the beautiful wedding of one of my oldest friends, a friend I had during the craziest, most challenging days of my life. I'm happy to be a witness to a love I saw in its first stages.
I really be should doing my makeup now :P But before I go, some things I thought of over the week:
- But sometimes, you just gotta let it all out. I may sound like I'm contradicting myself but I have a point, I promise. I saw the movie Chef last night with friends and I'm glad I did. It's the story of a chef {Jon Favreau} and what happens to him when a food blogger critiques his menu badly. His travail explodes into a massive viral flame when he lets out at the food blogger.
- I'm not going to say anything further, but that it's a visual {and gastronomical, might I add} treat. Jon Favreau did an awesome job writing, directing and starring in this heartwarming movie which takes Twitter and social media to the spotlight, too.
- Speaking of adorable dads and sons bonding, saw this video of Piolo and his son IΓ±igo bonding over at YouTube, and I wish more stuff like this came out, and no more of the yucky things people posted over on Facebook.
- There's nothing I can't do when I'm with Him. I finished yet again another Prayer and Fasting series and during the first day, I did think I was going to collapse. But I didn't, and my week finished strong.
- Flowers make things so much better. And so do a new scent {Banana Republic's Wildbloom Rouge} and a darker foundation {Ellana's Pumpkin Spice Latte}.
- Sometimes, one just needs to be physical.
What do you know for sure?
