The Body Shop Tea Tree Line
When I was in high school, the first ever acne solution my mom has gotten for me was a small green bottle of cult favorite, The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil. I loved that it cured my teenager acne, and that it smelled pretty amazing. After all these years of beauty blogging, I guess the line has been so effective that it's now an entire line!
Can you imagine how many this line contains now? Wow!
My {maybe, all time} favorite chick series, Sex and the City is playing in the background as I roadtest the line sent by our friends from The Body Shop, which is now BTW, owned by SM! It's been a tiring day today but I am blessed to have fun stuff to tinker with before going to sleep. Now, let me tell you how the experience has been:
1. The Body Shop Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub, PHP 550. This skin-clearing facial scrub combines micro-fine exfoliants with bursting beads to help unclog pores without over-drying. Use a few times a week for skin that feels super clean and instantly smooth. I touched my skin after I washed it and it was so soft! As the scrub beads are pretty noticeable, I'd recommend not to use this everyday though it may be safe to, and turn to use the creamy wash on other days.
2. The Body Shop Tea Tree Cool and Creamy Facial Wash, PHP 395. Our cool new cleansing sensation is the perfect wake-up call for blemished skin. Use daily for a velvety-soft cleanse with a blast of cool freshness. Velvety and soft indeed!
3. The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion, PHP 695. A light, moisturising non-oily lotion that sinks into the skin to provide lightweight hydration and oil control while helping to prevent blemishes with regular use. I love that this was easily absorbed my skin and perfect for hot and humid days like today.
4. The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil, PHP 495. A natural solution to help keep skin looking clear. Helps soothe blemished skin. It contains tea tree oil and tamanu oil which is extracted from the nut of the Tamanu tree. This has incredible healing capacity, and works to promote the formulation of new tissue thereby accelerating the healing of blemishes. Perfect for acne scarring. I applied this one night and my budding pimple just shrunk back. Let's see what happens tomorrow!
Overall: I am so happy I got back to using this line {see 4 above} and it's a refreshing change to my usual argan oil and retinol regimen. The minty scent is just what this woman needs! And the price is just right, not expensive at all and TBS is pretty accessible!
