Cleaning with Tara at Home: Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Review

OMG. YES I am writing about home cleaning products and it's only my MOST FAVORITE CLEANING PRODUCTS EVER.

Let me tell you something about me. I'm obsessed with cleaning. Always have been, ever since I could have my own pretty rags, lemon-print gloves, apron and could choose cherry scented cleaning solutions. When I was younger, I obsessed over gloves because most products were not as skin-friendly as they are now. I've always looked with affection at Zonrox bottles especially when they had different scents. During my last birthday, my friend Anna gave me a pair of cleaning shoes. CLEANING SHOES! :D

I first met Mrs. Meyers when I was leafing through my Oprah magazine and Real Simple some 5 years ago. To me, it looked very clean and crisp and dainty at the same time. I screencapped the ad and sent it to my mom, who bought me my own bottles of the Basil Multi-Surface Cleaner and eventually a Lavender Bottle of the Multi-Surface Cleaner. I had then used it to mop my apartment, when Butters pees and poops and it makes me happy A LOT.

Before I proceed, let me tell you my criteria for good cleaning products:
1) Cleans almost instantly, or at least does not take hours to have some sort of effect.
2) Does not destroy surfaces.
3) Does not destroy my hands.
4) SMELLS GOOD. OR CLEAN.

Fast forward to very recently, I took home, in my humongous luggage, some 7,000 miles from Manila, several bottles of Mrs. Meyers for my personal, pure enjoyment and pleasure of cleaning.

L-R: Laundry Detergent in Baby Blossom, Surface Scrub in Lavender, Tile & Grout Spray in Lavender, Multi Surface Spray in Bluebell and Fabric Conditioner in Geranium.

I ordered every scent I could in varying products, except the common ones like Lemon and Basil so I can get to try everything. SO MUCH FUN. SO MUCH LOVE AND PLEASURE. Most days, my fascination with cleaning reminds me of FRIENDS' Monica Geller-Bing, on how OC she is with cleanliness. Short but true story: My boyfriend volunteered to "dirty" up where we were coming home so I could have something to clean once I arrived. We agreed not to make the place dirty since it took him a lot of effort, too, to keep the place clean in preparation for my arrival.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Laundry Detergent in Baby Blossom, US$ 15.99. This is the first among the lot I've tried this time because I was so excited for the scent. SCENT drives me crazy among everything I use so this one is no exception. I use this mostly on my delicates {and some of Butters' clothes and Mike's) and true to expectation, it smells divine. Like if I had a baby, I'd love for the baby to smell like this. Cleansing power is surprisingly good and my hands are still soft even after multiple times of washing clothes.

Mrs. Meyer's Hand Soap in Peppermint, US$ 3.99. Ahh, my first foray into Mrs. Meyer's was a lavender hand soap given by my mom so it's only fair to review one of the best hand soaps I've ever tried. The scent lingers, similar to Bath and Body Works hand soaps, and you will feel like your hands are clean and yet moisturized. I love this!

Mrs. Meyer's Tub & Tile in Lavender, US$ 4.99, promises to remove soap scum and keep your bathtub looking clean and brand new. It's true! It does! However, this is something that's also true for many other cleaning products, like Pine Sol, for example, which is Mike's favorite cleaning product for its industrial strength. As for me, I love that it makes our life more beautiful because our bathroom smells like heaven with the lavender scent.

Mrs. Meyer's Multi Surface Concentrate, US$ 7.99. This is a very common product across Mrs. Meyers, and it might even be their flagship product. Strength is customizable per surface, you just need to mix this with water. This scent, as the reviews said in their website, this scent is unique, as most of their scents are.

Overall: I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Mrs. Meyers, hence this lengthy review. I've always liked it but I am now even happier with it and the scents they have. It's not the strongest amongst the cleaning products we have at home {Pine Sol, Ajax, Muriatic Acid} obviously but for women like me who uses the weekend for cleaning, it's perfect <3

Mrs. Meyers Clean Day products are available on their website, in Bath, Bed & Beyond and Target.
