In one of those rare Thursdays, on a very innocuous afternoon, I dropped by the Bhagi's Beauty Backstage Event hosted by Team Project Vanity and I was floored to have discovered beauty brands I've only heard of but haven't really tried. For someone who has been kind of a beauty blogging absentee since I've immersed myself in telco, this is a treat because it's like a beauty event x8! Hooray for me!
I don't want to overwhelm you so I'm going to start today with two of my favorites from the Bhagi's Beauty Backstage Event: 1) Catrice Prime & Fine Beautifying Primer (PHP 499).
Prime Time! The Catrice Prime & Fine Beautifying Primer provides skin with a luminous glow, resulting in a smooth and flawless looking complexion. The soft rosé primer, fortified with nourishing Vitamin E, has a silky texture and light reflecting pearl pigments for an instant complexion boost. Can be used underneath foundation for longer wear, or alone for a gorgeous glow. Not tested on animals.
The Catrice Prime & Fine Beautifying Primer just kept calling me while at the event amidst the crowd of products laid out. Maybe I'm just biased with the blush pink tube and the pearlized finish but it did live up to its expectation of "beautifying." What I usually do is apply a pea sized amount in areas I'd like to have a little bit of sheen, definitely not all over my face, and apply foundation right after. I love this to bits!
Essence Stay All Day Translucent Fixing Powder, PHP 299 however, changed my whole makeup game. I was never a fan of daily usage of loose powders for the very reason that they're loose and tends to get my makeup bag messy. This however, just blew my mind. I used it one morning, just because, not even because I was meaning to review it. By mid afternoon, even if I've forgotten to retouch, my makeup was intact as it was in the morning. Absolutely bananas, this one! So, so awesome! Because it stays put, I don't have to bring it with me, too!
Here's me wearing both products in one Uber selfie :P
I love how it looks normal and not too made up at all + how cheap this base + loose powder is. So so happy with this power combo :) Catrice and Essence are available at Watson's and SM Beauty Sections.
