I didn't think I'd be back to this phase but I am: it's once again, a very busy season. On top of it all, I've just been thinking how does this all matter to mankind? I realize that much of my joy stems from dealing with numbers on a daily basis. I like them because they are black and white, or more importantly, red or green: above or below target. They are not subjective and there's no need to sugarcoat things. I like deriving stories out of the numbers I see. When I think about it, I'm not yet quite sure how it serves mankind but I do hope to get there soon.

Ginger root has been used medicinally in Asian, Indian and Arabic herbal traditions for thousands of years. It’s still used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as an aid to settle digestion and calm upset stomachs. Its warm, spicy aroma has been believed to awaken vitality, stimulate the body and inspire desire. And in many ancient cultures it was used as an aphrodisiac to “ginger up” romance.

I was not expecting to be awakened and stimulated when I tried the Origins Ginger Bath Line, PHP 1,650 for the travel set. I was looking forward to relaxing after a long day and I was happily surprised. For one, ginger as a scent is not very common, and when it's the scent, it doesn't always translate well. This Origins line however is such a yummy surprise. The scrub is my most favorite of the bunch: it's a sweet concoction of sugar and ginger, I almost feel like I'm bathing in ginger juice. The scrubs are grainy enough to slough off dead cells but not grating the skin. It's so good it's also a favorite of the boyfriend's!

As for the body wash, it lathers up well and has a creamy consistency that make my day awesome in the bath. Scent is still divine but bath scrub is truly the winner.

And finally, for a more sealed in scent, lock in the moisture and fragrance with the ginger souffle body cream. First of all, don't you just love it's called souffle? It makes me hungry for some dessert, too! Second of all, it's best for mornings when I enjoy quiet time during baths and at night when I prepare to cuddle my sheets and my boys. It's becoming a favorite!

Overall: Oh how I wish I have the luxury of having Origins within reach always!
