Things I Love Sundays: 2025 APPT Manila Open

I haven’t written on this blog in a while - and it’s funny cos I do journal anyway - but I noticed that writing for a perceived audience seems —- better for me. Same goes for my Substack. Now I wonder what will I keep.

This week was insane. On Monday morning, I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack. All of a sudden, I was thinking of my new role (Head of Offline Payments Growth Marketing) - the APPT of the week, an upcoming tournament on March 8th, not being invited in another league - our unit renovation, among may others. I’m starting to feel like maybe I had been trying to strike so many things.

But there are things I learn from this week and those are:

  • I am glad to have been gunning for experiences being brave for APPT is one. Good call to have gotten Dennis, he was a good coach for this experience.

  • It’s not me - sometimes people just want things on their own ways of doing things and I can’t do anything about that (league related) NAT

  • I have a good community and friends - even if some of them don’t show up all the time

  • I am not defined by my productivity all the time BUT I will be if I have nothing to show for it when the time comes

  • Neil will not change his mind about DX even if Michelle gave my team away to Andy and Cals - REMEMBER THIS

  • I need to remember to walk my path and do not forget my goals!
