Things I Love Saturdays and My Hair Update

It's a Saturday noon and somehow the weather is being its hot self, aptly in time for me going out on my errands. How lucky can a girl get? I'm off to do guy tasks {eg. bring car to Shell for change oil, tune up and emission testing.} It sucks not having a boyfriend to boss around to do these things. *low cackle*

But every new day is a blessing from God and today I woke up nice and dandy, a polar opposite of last night's drama {hugs to my girls K and Nikki for the love}. And so I am sharing things from the past week, of which I'm loving and being thankful for.

Multicolored bangles // 100 per 7 pieces
Hot pink bangle is Php 250, bought at a stall
across Marco Polo Hotel Davao

Reuniting with childhood memories with Manila Scramble.
As a kid, we used to call this Iskrambol, and the manong
selling these would add chocolate also known as Brangkaw {Brown Cow}
Memories!

Oh and this stall of Manila Scramble is in Robinson's Midtown {Ermita}.
The scramble sells for Php 5, 10 and 15 depending on the size.

Eating ice cream from sugar cones, right, Fran? :)
Meeting beautiful beauty bloggers. Police Justice Group. ROFL.
Talking about love and 'the one.'
The color of blush. Planning yet another getaway. Hope. Gratitude.
Pink shoes. Doing really girly things like taking the time to put on make up,
lotion and perfume. Is it just me, or is it really THAT therapeutic?

Vintage, much?
Last Monday's OOTD:
White crochet top: Ensembles
Green Paisley Skirt: Thrifted at Cebu with Mac VB
Belt: Free from a dress I bought long time ago from a bazaar
Shoes: Pill
Bangles: Bought from Davao
Shades: Promod

Speaking of vintage and thrifting, lookie lookie what I got:

My loot from Shop the Capricious Club, an online thrifting store, arrived!
Thanks for being so quick, Bestie!

This quote, as posted by one of my friends on Facebook, it's amazing how for once
in my life, I can't say it's all just wishful thinking:

"I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don't want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines, and sing out loud in the car with the windows open, and wear pink shoes, and stay up all night laughing, and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now. I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets, and throw parties, and eat ripe tomatoes, and read books so good they make me jump up and down."

- Shauna Niequist

Oh! And I did say I was going to update ya on my hair chronicles right? This part of the post is especially dedicated to Andie, who asked how is it going with my INOA-colored hair:

Not exactly the best angle and not exactly the best quality but I'd like to show you
how my hair looks like now. {sorry about the bra strap}

Notes:
  • My hair has turned a little lighter in color, as compared to its state when it was applied. After all, I am due for another hair treatment because I abuse my hair so much, coloring it and getting it permed every so often!
  • If I compare it though with normal hair coloring formulas I've used before {also from L'oreal but with ammonia}, it doesn't make my hair rough or dry even after how many weeks.
  • By my standards, my hair is still very soft. Lately, I've gone back to an old favorite {more on that next post} conditioner and my hair is unbelievably soft, still.
  • So far, my hair has not grown to three inches of black roots so I'm not yet due for a touch up. YAY!
  • You know how normal color makes your hair's tips grow blonder by the day? This one doesn't. My tips are perfectly the same color as the other parts of the hair.

I gotta run now and do responsible things. But do share what you're loving this Saturday! Life is kinda hard for me right now but it loves the one who lives it.

Hugs and kisses and love,
