The Irises are Black: An FOTD
It's been incredibly hard for me to blog about beauty nowadays ---- I've been at a loss of words to say about makeup and skincare. As opposed to the common belief, it's not as easy to claim a truth in the world of beauty blogging. And even until now, I still cannot claim that I am indeed a beauty blogger. But I try.
I've been reading Jane Buckingham's The Modern Girl's Guide to Life, a book mostly about tips on becoming a fab homemaker, career woman and an all around woman. It includes all sorts of tips I did not hear growing up {ah, the perils of living away from the parentals} such as Mod Girl Etiquette:
Again, thank you for such lovely gift, F! I'm so happy that I can now make my eyes brighter and look larger!
What about you, what's your favorite white/beige eyeliner?

- Thank you notes will never be out of style.
- If in doubt, address your mother in law by her married name.
- Don't put anything in writing that you couldn't say in person. {works everywhere, IMO}
- Regifting rules {ergo, dead giveaways you should look out for}
- What it means when the invite says Black Tie Optional, White Tie, Formal, etc.
- What to do when you forget a name
Lining the insides of of your lower lids with a white liner blends into the whites of your eyes, making your irises look brighter and your eyes larger.Have always heard of this nifty, little trick and have made lots of mental notes to try because I have such Oriental eyes but it's only now that I was able to apply it on myself because my lovely friend, Frances of Topaz Horizon, sent me a gorgeous MAC Eye Kohl in I Get No Kick for Christmas:
Not exactly white, more pearly beige but nonetheless breathtakingly gorgeous.
Effervescent.
I've been religiously applying eyeshadow since the first working day of the year and somehow, despite that, I felt like I needed to add a little more kick to my look with MAC I Get No Kick. =P
Here are some more photos of FOTDs from my first week of 2011:
Skincare: Obagi Condition and Enhance Toner
Obagi Condition and Enhance Sunblock
Face: L'oreal True Match Concealer in Light Medium
L'oreal True Match Powder in Sand Beige
MAC Eye Kohl in I Get No Kick used on the lower eyelids.
And as for the color on the eyelids, I have forgotten what they were :|
{Excuse the stray hairs. Perfect tayo eh.}
Again, thank you for such lovely gift, F! I'm so happy that I can now make my eyes brighter and look larger!
