An Exercise in Degustation
If I was a doctor, a weekly one-hour {at least, and excluding heavy traffic} would be my prescription for every illness.
Last weekend, the girls and I had a little trip slash slumber party at nearby Tagaytay City, where all we did was laugh like there was no tomorrow {and until our tummies literally hurt}, eat, laugh some more and eat.
I still haven't visited the famed and elusive Marcia Adams {which I have been dying to see and visit for how many months now} but my a little more than 24 hours stay at Tagaytay was more than a gastronomical delight.

First stop: Bag of Beans
With C and Y {girlfriend!}
With C and Y {girlfriend!}
Girlfriend and I decided to get the breakfast sampler {Php 350}.
The Italian Sausage is AMAZING.
And the hash browns. too!
... and the Roast Beef, too. {Php 320}
Though this was a wee bit salty :{ Mashed potato was lovely, though.
And cos I was so sleepy from all the bedtime chika with the BFF,
the Caramel Machiatto, too. {Php 95}
the Caramel Machiatto, too. {Php 95}
Love the heart detail <3
C had the pancakes, which were okay, needs more milk IMO. {starts at Php 175}
And the three cheese omelet with bacon which was superb. {Php 275}
The BFF's 'common' burger. It was superb, too, I think.
Common is an inside joke. =P

Obviously, we're galit sa food.
And the one I'd like to marry: the Blueberry Cheesecake. {Php135}
When I woke up on Monday morning, this was my first thought.
The girls and I at the garden area. Yup, wearing that dress from Bangkok, again.
{... with which I was offered, "Ma'am bili kayo ng labanos?" Ano daw?}
And the obligatory solo shot. Of course.
We rested for a little while at our hotel, gabbed like crazy that we eventually got hungry after a couple of hours so we went to The Cliffhouse, my favorite Tagaytay spot.
And while waiting for our table, I had mochi ice cream from Mochiko
in Black Sesame. YUM.
in Black Sesame. YUM.
And as always, I'm a sucker for Buon Giorno's Grape Shake {Php 134}
Buon Giorno's Gamberretti e Funghi Ravioli {Php 280}
Buon Giorno's New York Pizza {Php 274} was amazing and filling!
The morning after was reserved for more group pictures {what else do you expect from
a group of giggling girls?} despite the curious stares of passers by. =P
No more tube dresses for me but eensy weensy shorts this time!
And of course, the last meal from the shorty short Tagaytay trip was at
The Boutique Bed and Breakfast's Hawaiian Barbeque.
I initially had my reservations with the restaurant, I mean, what's with the simplistic name?
But girlfriend {Y} was insistent we eat there so we did and truly, I enjoyed every morsel
that I ingested at that restaurant:
{and because I enjoyed it too much, I forgot the prices, too}
Some Tawilis Dish. I don't eat Tawilis but from what I heard, it was awesome.
The Baby Back Ribs was amazingly tender and flavorful
Baked Potatoes. I still have dreams about this cheesy, bacon-y creation.
If Bag of Beans' Blueberry Cheesecake is my husband, this would be my lover.
The Fisherman's Catch with Three Sauces. This is another favorite.
And just like me, my girlfriends are suckers for desserts. So we had three amazing desserts:
Chunky Monkey | Banana, Ice Cream and Peanut Butter
Mango Crumble | Mango and Ice Cream with bits of Graham crackers {or what
I thought were Graham crackers
Coco Banana Split | Coconuts, Marshmallows, Chocolate Syrup and Ice Cream
Can it get more sinful than that?

Ugh. This is why I hate doing food posts. I get irritated at not being able to eat these food while looking at the photos and blogging about them. Now I need to find some nice Baked Potatoes and some ice cream.
But before that, let me leave you with an OOTD on my way home:
Polo: from Hongkong
Shorts: Cotton On
Sunnies: Promod
Belt: Rubi
Sneakers: Slim fit Converse Chuck Taylors
{yes, as opposed to common belief, I do wear Chucks =P}
Girlfriends + Amazing Food + Lots of rest = Happy ME.
How was your weekend?
