Orgasmic in NARS Orgasm: A Review
Leave it to NARS to make us, Filipinas, blush at the mere mention of a blusher shade.
Everyone, and I mean everyone in the beauty blogging world know this too well: NARS Orgasm blush is the blush du jour. It is almost a crime not to have this in one's stash and I knew this back in 2008 when I first started blogging. The day I heard about it, I ran to nearest NARS counter, and bought another shade instead - NARS Oasis. Back then, and I quote myself: I thought NARS Orgasm was way too coral for me.
Whatever, self.
It was a day I blogged about Benefit's Sugarbomb Blush and declared it as the best blush ever. At noon time, when I glanced over to my desk mirror, I caught a glimpse of my cheeks with its natural shade of blush, and specks of iridescent peach and my heart stopped for a second. My friend laughed at me when I told her this --- I am not sure about you but my heart stops a bit upon the presence of a really good find.

It's true that you can want different things after five years. And it's true that things can be truly ironic. I therefore conclude that NARS Orgasm is yet the most natural blush I've ever used, in equal positioning with Benefit Sugarbomb, a fact I discovered right after I declared such.

Things I Love about NARS Orgasm:
- Natural. I have an NC30 skintone, which I believe is pretty common in Filipinas -- a medium yellow tone and NARS Orgasm, with its peach-coral shade and iridescent cream gradient, looks just about right when one blushes.
- Buildable coverage. I realized that I could do no wrong with NARS Orgasm as I swiped on endlessly one morning while singing to Taylor Swift's The Lucky One. Even after over-blushing, it wasn't scandalous at all. Not to encourage it of course, but that's one less worry, at least.
- Multi-dimensional. There is a reason why I might not go back to matte, solid blushes anytime soon and that is I learned that the best blushes are the ones with shimmer because it dimensionalizes on the face and refrains one from looking like overly made up.

And as an additional, here's a helpful guide by fellow BDJ Box Beauty Minister, Barbi Chan - Friebel:
- Long-lasting. I don't have to reapply at night unless I have somewhere to go. Other than that, it stays on without primers and inside an airconditioned room.
- Looks dewy on the cheeks.
- Perfect for a natural, girl next door look.
- Love. :)
- Is it worth the Php 1,350 price tag? I got mine for free {thank you, Bridges PR!} but I would spend for it if I could only spend for one blush at a given time. You know me, I'm not a fan of hoarding but if you just need one blush, it's NARS Orgasm or yes, Benefit Sugarbomb :)
Are you a NARS Orgasm fan, too?
