I’m two days away from being 33 but relishing this birthday feeling today, on a Sunday when the world slows down and I get to appreciate all that I love and the blessings and grace I have.

The year is about to end and what a whirlwind of a year it’s been. I actually haven’t finished writing this before or on my birthday, and I am writing this a month after I have been 33. It had been a whirlwind month so far, many things I am yet still to understand. But the truth is, I am still learning from the circumstances, a voice tells me, adults don’t know any better. We don’t really know any better, but we go on with life.

So I am here, in my favorite, quite literally, corner of our home in a blue blanket, finally quieting down from the stress and the whirlwind of 2018 to appreciate life.

Here’s to 33.
