CONTEST MECHANICS:

1. The contest is open to all Filipino citizens who are of legal age (at least 18 years old at the time of submission of entry) and permanent residents of the Philippines.

2. Each entry should contain the contestant’s experience in a unique beach destination in the Philippines, which includes experiences while traveling to that destination and the activities available therein. Only one entry per participant will be accepted.

3. Entries should be in the following formats:

a. Written essay with a maximum of five hundred (500) words with at least three (3) photos taken of the destination attached to the essay.
b. Video essay, in VCD or DVD format (accepted video formats are .wmv, .mpeg, .mpeg4, .avi, .mov), with a maximum of ninety (90) seconds of running time including at least three (3) photos taken of the destination.

4. The call for entries and media launch will be on 1 April 2008 at Travel Café Philippines in Greenbelt 5, Makati City.

5. Submission of entries will be from 1 April 2008 until 5:00 p.m. of 23 May 2008 (new deadline).

6. Submission of entries will be coursed through Creative Juice Communications Inc. (Creative Juice).

a. Entries may be submitted to 7 Zaragoza Street, Araneta Subdivision, Quezon City 1113 (parallel to G. Araneta Avenue, near Arlington) via the following:

i) Personal delivery from 9 AM to 12 NN Monday to Friday only; and

ii) Post or courier. b. Entries must contain the following information: i) Name ii) Birthdate

iii) Home Address

iv) Mailing Address

v) Email Address

vi) Telephone No.

vii) Mobile Phone No.

viii) Foot Size

ix) Signature
x) To authenticate the entry, it must also contain a photo of the contestant in the said location.

*Incomplete entries will automatically be disqualified

IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU MAY NOW EMAIL YOUR ENTRIES TO PROMO@HAVAIANASPHILIPPINES.COM (EMAIL SIZE SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 1MB WHILE VIDEO ESSAYS SHOULD BE CONVERTED INTO ZIP FILE WHEN SENDING).” 7. Contestants agree that upon submission, all entries along with all its components become property of Terry SA Inc. and may be used by Terry SA Inc. for promotional, publicity, advertising, marketing and all other similar purposes, with or without consent from the sender.

8. Final judging of entries will be re-scheduled to a new date (to be announced).

9. Winners will be announced in June 2008. Winning entries will be announced on TV and not later than two (2) weeks after determination of winners. Winners will also be notified via email, phone call, and registered mail. A write up of winning entries will also appear in broadsheets.

10. All employees of Terry SA Inc., Studio23, GeiserMaclang Marketing Communications Inc., Creative Juice and other promo partners/third parties, including their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity or affinity, are automatically disqualified from joining this contest. Persons reporting regularly to Terry SA Inc., Studio23, GeiserMaclang Marketing Communications Inc., Creative Juice Communications Inc. under a contract or service and who, by the nature of the service they render may have a direct and personal knowledge of the promotion shall also be disqualified.

11. Terry S.A. Inc. reserves the right to cancel this contest in the event that the contest becomes impossible to continue due to fortuitous events. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING: 1. Seven (7) winners will be selected based on the following criteria:

a. Uniqueness of experience

b. Uniqueness of beach destination

c. Uniqueness of activities in the destination

d. Presentation/creativity of entry and supporting materials

2. The first seventy (70) qualified entries that meet the minimum criteria, based on the contest criteria, will automatically get a pair of Havaianas Limited-Edition 7 Waves. The determination of the date and time of submission of entries will be as follows:

a. Upon receipt of the entry, the date and time will be recorded in a log book. Contestant will also be given a copy of the transmittal record.

b. Entries received via post or courier will be recorded based on the date the package is sent. 3. The set of judges will be comprised of travel editors from leading publications and company representatives from the participating organizations.

PRIZES FOR THE WINNERS:

1. Each of the seven (7) winners will be given the following prizes:

a. A 3-day/2-night all-expense paid trip for two (2), consisting of two roundtrip airline tickets and accommodations to the destination that the winner wrote about;

b. One (1) pair Limited-Edition Havaianas 7 Waves. However, if the winner has already won a pair of Limited-Edition Havaianas 7 Waves by being one of the first seventy (70) senders, the second pair of Havaianas 7 Waves will be given to his/her travel companion;

c. A summer package from T-Box, David and Goliath and Dakine.

2. Each of the seven (7) winning trips will be scheduled by Terry S.A. Inc., within June to October 2008. The winner will be notified at least one month before the trip schedule. Should the winner be unavailable, the prizes will be forfeited and the next qualified winner will be awarded the prizes.

3. Provincial winners will be flown from their residence directly to the destination. If no direct flights are available, they will be first flown to Manila for a connecting flight to their intended destination.

4. All prizes are not transferable and not convertible to cash 5. Winners shall have at least thirty (30) days from the date of the publication or announcement or notification of winners, whichever comes last, within which to claim their prizes. Winners shall present 2 valid IDs as evidence of his/her identity and entry. A detailed set of instructions for claiming of prizes will be sent through registered mail.

6. To avail of his/her prize, contestant must be fit to travel on the scheduled dates. A medical certificate must be submitted prior to the trip.

7. Contestants agree that if they are chosen as winners, their trip will be documented by Studio 23 and will be featured in NewsCentral. One destination shall be featured each month.

8. Contestants agree that if they are chosen as winners, they will be accompanied by a travel editor (each one of the judges will be assigned for each destination) on their winning trip. The travel editors shall document the trip and produce a box of travel guides about the destination.

5 Beauty Crimes I'm guilty of

1. I don't wash my brushes every after use. Since I work an-8 hour job, it's impossible to squeeze that in during my busiest moments.

2. I can't expertly do my eyebrows. =( Sad, but true.

3. I let all grease run amuck in my face when I'm at home. I really feel icky when I have something in my face (and not foundie) and I feel like I'll get all the dirt.

4. I hate my crease-less eyelids. (Is this even a crime?)

5. I only comb my hair once a week. I have curly hair. Period.

Pure love. I can't believe that this brand actually has something that has gold speckles. Staying power is excellent as it stays on all day =P

Like what the website says, it was exactly sheer and does not cover your cheek with blush in one stroke. This is good if you're the type who just wants a hint of blush in your face. I was supposed to buy the Orgasm shade, but did not for 2 reasons:

1. It was too coral-ish for me. I rarely wear coral shades as I feel it becomes too orange on my yellow, Asian skin.
2. The Rustan's branch didn't have a stock anyway. :P

Anyway, overall, I'm very happy with NARS Oasis, as it really makes the face shimmer. Perfect for the season, too!

Shell Helix Hot Summer Shots Mechanics

The contest is open to amateur photographers in the Philippines, DSLR and digital point-and-shoot users alike.

Entries should be in color, must be in JPEG (.jpg) format and may not exceed a file size of one megabyte (1mb).

The contest duration is from March 8 to May 31, 2008.

Follow the directions on how to upload your photo entry.
Photos must have a resolution of 100 dpi or 7 x 5.5 inches. Only minor enhancement of photographs is allowed (brightness and contrast, sharpening, levels).

B. You can create your very own pair following these easy steps:

1. Choose your sole.

2. Choose your strap.

3. Choose your embellishments – letter-pins to spell out your name, lifestyle pins to reflect your personality, Swarovskis to express your chic.

4. Our friendly staff will assemble your special pair on the spot.

5. If you wish to embellish your pair with Swarovskis, proceed to the designated station.

6. Lacinhos (“little laces”) are also available to dress up your customized pair.

7. Purchase your exclusive creation for only P795.00 (Adults sizes from 33/4 to 45/6) and P745.00 (Kids sizes from 25/6 to 31/2) without embellishments; an additional P50.00 for each pin or each Swarovski will be charged. Purchase of lacinhos will be an additional P200.00 per pair (a pair of lacinhos per pair of slippers will be allowed).

In my loot...

The other day, I received my loot from Elegant Minerals and wasn't able to write about 'em.

Anyhoo, now that I have some time, I can write a quickie review on the samples from Elegant Minerals.

What's shown above is a 1. Pink Glow Bronzer, 2. Foundation in Corn Silk and 3. E/s in Slate. So far, I have only used these three shades and I love how highly pigmented the e/s is. When I used it, I forgot to foil it and just lined the lower part of my lid with it. I loved the fact that it stayed in my eyes even after having dinner at NSG (which by the way was YUM).

I have yet to try the rest of my samples this week and hopefully complete all of my pending reviews.

It all started with this...

For many months now I've been fascinated with mineral make up. My mom says it's all a rage (however, she buys me MMU from US) but I beg to disagree and join the bandwagon. I've read about it from blog-hopping, Multiply, all sorts of information avenue. And they all say one thing: Mineral Make up is the best thing that will ever happen to your skin.

Whatever will happen to mine will be the subject of my next post =)
