Mini Haul and matching Mini Update

>> Wednesday, April 29, 2009

Heh. :D I feel like scowling at my uber uncreative title. :x

These past few days have been one of the .. say, challenging days of my career. I work as a writer. A web content producer of some sort and a LOT that doesn't include writing. My work thrives on my "creativity" [or lack thereof]. My job is a mix of a whole lotta writing, Photoshop-ing, choosing models for our company's advertisements and battling off HR and IT concerns. IKR. :x

So imagine the drama when one day, I couldn't write. Just couldn't write. I stared at the blank document in MS Word and stared at it for 4 hours, until I decided to get home. At home, I just stared at my laptop again and still -- I couldn't write.

It was so funny that this morning, after being late for 3 hours, getting stuck in traffic and dealing with the moody weather -- I started to write. I guess I was worried for nothing at all.

I just hope it won't happen again :(

On a more positive note, because I was feeling unproductive during these days, I've been wandering at our building and found that there was a small store of imported perfume. I decided to check it out and found out that they sell NYX eyeshadows, NYX eyeliners and 2 shades of NYX lipsticks. Heh. So of course, I bought two e/s and an eyeliner:

NYX eyeshadows in Cotton Candy and Flamingo
and NYX eyeliner in Black Brown, 120 each

And as if a glutton for make up, I walked all the way to SM Makati because I realized I've been getting eyebags, therefore I needed a new concealer. I decided to give Artdeco a try and threw in a bronzer, too!

Artdeco Concealer in #2 Yellow [P 495.00]
and ELF Natural Radiance Blusher in Bronze [P 129.75.]

I have yet to know how the Artdeco concealer fares on my rather oily skin so if you've tried this, please do let me know! :)

Happy Wednesday!

My Colorgenics Profile

>> Sunday, April 26, 2009

Date: 4/26/2009
Colorgenics Number: 36521407

You appear to others around you as a person who is simply 'laid back'. From time to time you shelve your ambitions and forgo the desire for prestige and recognition and you are often considered as mentally lazy. You have the ability and you are the first to know this, but you prefer to take things easy and indulge your longing for comfort and security.

You are working extremely hard trying to improve your image in the eyes of others. You are looking for acknowledgement from your peers and those who come into your sphere of influence. You want to be liked, not for what people think of you but for what you really are.

You are a very choosy person - demanding and exacting in your emotional demands and very particular in your choice of partner. You are self-sufficient and as a result of this overbearing nature you find it difficult to establish any depth of deep physical or mental involvement with members of the opposite sex.

You are being unduly influenced by the situation that is all around you. You do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others. You know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to live it to the full. You therefore resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone.

You don't like authority and you rebel against all forms of limitation. You are your own person and you intend to stay that way and to get on in the world simply by your hard work and determination.

**Mine is so creepy/true. Get yours here.

Foodie Post: Spicy Fingers

>> Saturday, April 25, 2009

Spicy Fingers is a bar/restaurant located at Greenbelt 2, adjacent to Pepato and Temple. I remember during my college days, it was only Pepato and Temple that was there. The first time I went there was during my friend Cheena's fashion show for Amour. I didn't eat dinner there because I think it was around 11PM when I arrived, already full and wanting some cocktails. Heehee :x

Last Thursday, I thought that I was gonna be able to squeeze in dinnertime with the boyfriend. As he was supposed to pick me up, more work came up and we were stuck at my office and our programmer. I asked him if he wanted to have food delivered instead but he said no. I originally planned eating at Bubba Gump [another YUM restaurant in Greenbelt] but since it was late when we finished, I opted to eat at Spicy Fingers instead.

Since it was sooo late, we decided to get just the Braised Lamb Shank as entree, and the Deep Fried Fish in Beer Batter as appetizer. And boy, good thing we did!

I ordered the Ripe Mango Shake [P 130] and the BF ordered
a bottle of San Miguel Beer Premium [P 130].

Deep Fried Fish in Beer Batter [P 230] - good for two

Braised Lamb Shank with Mashed Potatoes and
Veggies [P 680]

The BF and I enjoyed our food so much -- considering we were on a gamble as none of us had eaten here before. I was glad to have not ordered so much. As it is, we were already stuffed midway into the lamb, which serving is SO big, anyway. And it was so tender! The mashed potatoes tasted YUM, too. They were authentic potatoes -- not the ones that come in powder and is instant.

Would I come back: Sure! I saw the cocktail list and it's long and well, I haven't had a lot of drinks in a long while.

Price Range: Reasonable. Most of the entrees are in the 400 - 500 bracket and it's not just for one person. :)

Haul from Mhean's Garage Sale and FOTD

I haven't been blogging like I did during the Holy Week and I miss it :( Work has been crazy. Won't go into the details but it makes me plop myself into the bed as soon as I get home.

[after all the skincare routine, of course]

So I haven't had the time, or the luxury of buying some stuff I've been wanting lately. I couldn't pass by Glorietta or Greenbelt 5 as they're already closed when I get off work, which is around 9:30 PM, usually.

Mhean's garage sale was the perfect solution -- and she had a lot of nice items, too! I bought the Manly 120-piece eyeshadow palette and her Guerlain smokey eyeshadow palette. She was nice to include really nice freebies like St. Ives' Collagen Elastin Moisturizer and Islas' Lavender Massage Oil :)

Manly 120-piece Eyeshadow Pallette
*bought from Mhean of MoiheartsMakeup
(Most of the eyeshadows were intact, in fact only one color was
sort of powdery--the BLUE one. Which one? I don't know.)

These past few days though, I've been very inspired with putting eye makeup on, and after receiving Mhean's stuff last Tuesday, I decided to do some roadtesting and EOTD-ing.

For some reason, my left eyelid [right in photo] seems brighter than
the other. But I assure you, they're of the same intensity in person :)

Products Used:
FACE:

VOV Cover Foundation in #1, Pink Beige
L'Oreal True Match 2-Way Foundation in Sun Beige

EYES:

Monistat Anti-Chafing Powder Gel as primer
Gold e/s from the 2nd row (Left) of the Manly palette
[yes, I forgot to put a check in Photoshop]
Salmon e/s from 1st row (right) of same palette
A darker salmon as outer-v color from 1st row, too
(Geesh, I hope that wasn't confusing, LOL)
Some white e/s for highlightingPrestige Waterproof Liquid EyelinerThe Face Shop Freshian Volumizing Mascara

BROWS:
The Face Shop Automatic Brow Pencil
Maybelline Brow Styling Gel

CHEEKS:
Nars Blush in Oasis

LIPS:
Sally Hansen Soothing Balm
Paul and Joe Lipstick in #19
(it's so gorgeous and creamy!)

My take on the Manly 120-pc. eyeshadow palette:

  • Incredibly pigmented. I had to shake my brush to lessen the eyeshadow on my brush.
  • A little goes a long way -- at least the ones I have tried already.
  • Stayed on my eyelids all day. I take into consideration though, the Monistat primer and that my eyelids are NOT that oily. :)
  • Blendable. For some reason, I find some e/s that are so NOT blendable. Thankfully, Manly was blendable.
  • Can I just say that the range of colors is so diverse I may have to wear neon green e/s to work? LOL. The finish types are diversified, too. Some are matte, shimmery and velvety.
  • I think you can get the bang for the buck for this palette -- definitely advisable for someone who loves to practice makeup application.

What I don't like:

  • I know that it is not locally available. But there are alternatives -- Dollface Cosmetics [have yet to try] and a lot of girls own Coastal Scents' palettes so .. :)
  • Really, MANLY???

That's it for now :) I do have some stuff lined up so I can at least redeem myself from being a bad blogger. Heehee. :x

Happy Birthday, Chronicles of Vanity!

>> Thursday, April 23, 2009

Eek, I totally forgot that today is my blog's anniversary! Coincidentally, this is also my 101st post, making the past year a memorable 100 posts of my life. A lot were about myself [thus the vanity] and some were about my other passions in life :P

Now that I'm thinking about it, I didn't even prepare anything for it, not even a mini-contest :( I've been incredibly busy with work, I am even working now, just a little break. In fact, I'm delaying my date with the BF because I got sudden deadlines.

Anyhoo, I might probably come up with something the next few weeks so let's all hope for the best, heehee.

To the girls whom I've developed an online friendship with [you know who you are], thanks so much for supporting me, commenting on my posts and inspiring me. Hope to see you all soon and I really hope I'd get to have more friends through this blog.

*kisses*

Tagged by Kim.

Another weekend passed and I haven't been blogging. The heat is driving me crazy, the heat in the Philippines has been like a woman -- so MOODY! One minute it's about 40 degrees Celsius and the next it's raining :(

Anyhoo, I've been feeling ill today, definitely a Monday sickness but I've had a lot on my to-do list at work so I was still up and about.

Going back, I'm really glad Kim tagged me to do this, I've been lacking in posts these days because even if I do put on eye makeup and the shebangs everyday, I've been tooooo lazy to take pictures or take note of what I used. So here:

What is your current obsession?
Makeup, obviously. :P And a lot of things, travelling, wanting to go out but not really going out, online shopping for clothes and Mafia Wars. Heehee.

What is your weirdest obsession?
Hmm, impractical, maybe, but not weird? Going out. When I still lived in Makati, I can't stay at home.  Maybe I felt really homesick and bored being alone so I went out and never felt tired.

What are you wearing today?
A black longsleeves top from Memo and gray trousers from Ensembles and C & K shoes. Yep, it's pretty boring in the corporate world.

What's your favorite comfort food?
It's different everytime -- it used to be McNuggets from McDonald's, Jellyace from the grocery, Oishi Sponge [hehe, I know!], a tub of ice cream [any brand], mangoes or pineapples, sometimes it was the Go-go sandwich from KFC. :P

What would make today special?
Eek, it wasn't anything special and I don't think there's time left for it to be special.

What would you like to learn to do?
Pro makeup, French, Flamenco, COOK!

What’s the last thing you bought?
Stuff from Mhean's garage sale, I guess. From the mall, I  can't seem to remember but I'm pretty sure it's a pair of shoes.

What are you listening to right now?
I can hear the TV outside of my room and it's a soap opera, I think from ABS-CBN.

What is your favourite weather?
How I wish we had spring in the PI.

What is your most challenging goal right now?
Like Kim --- budgeting and identifying needs vs. wants! UGH.

What do you think about the person who tagged you?
I think Kim is a a nice girl. We haven't met personally but we've exchanged comments and she seems nice :)

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?
Tagaytay. My parents plan to retire here in the Philippines even though they're up in NH. So yeah, it would be nice if I can buy a house for them in Tagaytay.  At least, they don't have to adjust too much with the weather :)

What would you like to have in your hands right now?
New and complete set of makeup brushes.

If you could swap lives with anyone for one day who would it be and why?
I haven't thought of it, because I can't imagine being out of my body and being someone else.

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
NH, where my mom, brother and dad are. Then we'll visit NYC and I'll go shop like a madwoman.

Which language do you want to learn?
French and Spanish.

What do you look for in a friend?
Honesty -- something rare nowadays.

Who do you want to meet in person?
Madonna.

What’s your favourite type of music?
Alterna-rock-ish. Gin Blossoms, Radiohead type, you know the likes. I've talked about my kind of music with Sab before :)

What is your favourite piece of clothing you own?
I can never be too loyal with any piece of clothing I own, but let me just say that I spoil myself too much with lingerie because I'm crazy over lingerie. My favorite brands are Calvin Klein, La Senza and M & S! And VS, too, of course.

What is your dream job?
Can you believe I wanted to be a Hollywood actress before? But that was when I was a kid. I'm having fun being a writer for now. :)

Any favourite models?
Models of what?

If you had £100 now what would you spend it on?
I would probably add it to my MF on first thought but might buy something haha.

Thing you wish you could change in your past?
None I can think of right now.

Fashion pet peeve?
Colored skinny jeans. Puh-leeze.

Do you admire anyone’s style?
The Olsens? Jolie's. Evan Rachel Wood's. V. Beckham's. Rachel Bilson's.

Describe your personal style.
I  always think of what I wear the night before. I try to wear something, even just one item that's fab and traffic-stopping because I love dressing up, as IN love dressing up, even if the heat is frickin' unbearable. And even if I'm sick. Heehee.

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Strawberries, mocha, raspberry and mango. Whew!

What is your favourite makeup brand?
I'm liking P & J! Bu I haven't had time to scoot to their booth in Rustan's again.. I  have a lot of Body Shop stuff , but I don't think I really play favorites :)

Do you get enough beauty sleep? Yes or no, and why?
Eek. NO :( I work too much!

Okay, here's the rules:
1. Respond and rework: answer the questions on your blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.

2. Tag eight other people.

Beating the Summer Blues

If I were to be stuck in a Philippine season, that would be SUMMER. Since the Philippines only have 2 seasons, Hot and Hotter, I'd gladly settle for HOT.

Kidding. In the Philippines, we have the Summer and Rainy Seasons only. :(

It's been crazy hot for the past one and a half month and I've stashed away my knits and boots. To share, here are my steps in having a fun and non-irritating summer.

1. If you can, clothe only in cotton garments. Since the temperature is climbing up to more than 30 degrees Celsius, it's important to let your skin breathe. If you will be at the office all day, though, bring a jacket or a blazer because you will surely get cold inside an airconditioned room.

2. Slather on some SPF. Actually, this shouldn't be done only during summertime. SPF should be a part of one's regimen the whole year round since skin damage can also happen even when the sun isn't so bright. Applicable for this weather is SPF 55 or above. I myself use Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch in SPF 70 and Aveeno Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion SPF 30 when the sun is not "extra strength." According to my derma, one fourth teaspoon alone should be used in one arm.

3. Keep yourself hydrated. Water is the best ammo against heat stroke, a common occurence to some Filipinos during summer.More than 8 glasses is better at this kind of weather.

4. Moisturize. The weather can dry you up, or make you so oily it's not fun anymore! :) But more than anything else, it DOES dry up the skin, and in my case, the eye area, the MOST. To fix this, I keep a small container of my HG mositurizer, Olay Total Effects plus a small container of St. Ives' Eye Stress Gel to pat on every time my eye area gets dry. Keep a tub of your favorite lip balm as well because chapped lips ain't pretty :)

5. Bring your sunnies everywhere. Contrary to others' belief, sunnies are not only for the artistas (celebrities) so that they won't get recognized. :D Sunnies are made to prevent your eyes from the brightness that cause you to squint, and will eventually cause your crows' feet. Aside from slathering on eye creams at night, sunnies are a big help in preventing wrinkles and fine lines.

6. Bring your umbrella, ella, ella, always. Did you know that in NYC, people are not used to seeing anyone using an umbrella when it's sunny? :D Oh well. In the Philippines, ladies use their umbrellas every time it's sunny [as in 12:00 NN sunny -- which is CRAZY] and whenever it's rainy. And since there can only be two seasons, it's best to have your umbrella at any moment the weather goes bonkers.

7. Have your swimsuit ready at all times. Filipinos are such beachgoers, the average Filipino goes to the beach at least once a year. I, myself, have been to the beach twice already this year and have some plans of going back this month or in May! My favorite swimsuit brand is Soak Swimwear -- a brand made and designed by Filipinas! Soak Swimwear not only sells fab bikini designs, they have nice coverups, too!

Orange Palms swimwear from Soak

7.Enjoy! Summer is the season wherein most families hold their reunions and outings, as well as class reunion parties, office outings etc.[at least in the Philippines, I'm not sure in other countries]. Make sure you enjoy yourself with good, clean fun.

Happy summer!

These were from the Sunshot Photography Club's glam shoot featuring Angel Oscillada [the original model for this shoot] and myself [as super impromptu and forgettable model] with the beautiful and talented Brigitte/Jheng as the MuA. This was last year but all I was able to post was a preview photo. Anyhoo, I'm posting these photos to showcase the makeup look she did on me that night. :)

Thanks again, Jheng, for making me look like this! =)

My first FS pallette...

>> Tuesday, April 7, 2009

... and hella proud of it!

Oops, in this post, I meant Fanny Serrano when I said FS :) Fanny Serrano, btw, is a Filipino brand, that's why I'm proud.

I had literally no plans of buying anything today, all I wanted was just to go home and watch How I Met Your Mother, when N texted me and asked to meet up near the SM Department Store in Makati. While waiting for her, I browsed through racks and racks of toiletries, make up and even more make up, and this FS pallette caught my eye. They do look gorgeous even from afar -- looks pigmented, too! :) So I just had to try, and being a winner for price, bought it immediately.

And I guess I WAS RIGHT! Or at least, me thinks I'm right! Ha :P Swatches of the FS pallette in Forest, below:

I have gotten polished!

>> Sunday, April 5, 2009

I share the same opinion, or hobby, if you may, with Elle of the movie Legally Blonde.

Whenever I'm sad, or anxious or plain bored, I opt for a session with my favorite salon and have my nails done. This day was a perfect time to do just THAT.

Each and every time of my visits to the salon is a little shindig in my mind. Seeing a rack of nail polish bottles sends me to an almost "nirvana" state, kind of like when I'm inside my favorite clothing store .. You get my drift.

Not wanting to drive very far, I went to Get Polished in Aguirre St., BF Paranaque.

Located beside the Lay Bare Salon, i-Lash Salon and Taverns of Asia, this salon is not really very hard to find.

The place is as serene and comfy as you want it to be. Plush yellow chairs await you and you can prop your feet on matching yellow cushions as well. Their selection of magazines are wide in variety and the staff are waaaaay courteous. Another pro of this salon is that their music leans toward the relaxing-but-not-boring. During my session, bossa nova picks were being played.

I was greeted by a group of courteous nail techs and was courteously asked my choice of service and choice of polish. I opted for the edit: Get Polished Moisture Spa (as corrected by GP people, thanks so much =D)  as I had only an hour to spare. My visit prior to this one, I had the Get Polished Spa Pedicure, the works, I tell you. Although I think I was there for 3 hours.

I've always loved their selection of nail polishes. Not only they carry only the loveliest of colors (no tacky colors at all), the brands are ensured to be of high quality. Among the ones that I know they have are: OPI, Essie and China Glaze. Not only they are long-lasting, they don't have the particular smell of the common nail varnish.

I chose OPI in California Raspberry as my polish.

What I liked about the salon:

  • Courteous staff
  • Complimentary hot tea
  • Choice of scents for the spa [last time I chose Lemongrass]
  • Very nice ambiance, lighting is perfect. Not too dark that I can't read, not too bright that I have to squint.
  • Reasonably priced. The Classic Pedicure goes for Ps. 200 and the GP Spa is priced at Ps. 470.
  • They have nail dryers -- a big plus to women who need to rush off after.
  • While my cuticles were being pushed, I never felt any pain [although it was completely fine] and everything was clean and neatly done.
  • Very OC with putting nail polish.

What I didn't like about it:

  • NONE!

Will I come back?

Hell yeah, in I guess 2 weeks or less. I already have their Loyalty Card and am very excited about the free services. :)

Here's a list of their services and the prices, lifted from Get Polished's site.

GP is located at the following locations:

195 Aguirre Avenue, BF Paranaque, Paranaque City ( 8253763)
38 Sct. Ybardolaza St., cor. Sct. Rallos, Sacred Heart, QC (4092235)
8 Mezzanine, A.C. Building, Sct. Ybardolaza cor. Sct. Rallos., Quezon City

Mascara Review: The Face Shop Freshian Volumizing Mascara

>> Saturday, April 4, 2009

I recently bought a tube of TFS' Freshian Volumizing Mascara (The Face Shop is a Korean brand) from their store in Glorietta. I've read so many great reviews about this and my really close friend T, swears by it. One time, she left her humongous make up bag at home and had to borrow my mascara. When she was digging through my stash and found out I didn't have any TFS mascara, she said she'd rather go mascara-less.

For the longest time I've used Clinique mascaras [the grandma influenced me on this, in fact she never uses anything other than Clinique], L'oreal [the line I forgot but it's been discontinued], Fasio 3D Airtech Mascara [but you bet it's so hard to remove], and most recently L'oreal's Telescopic Clean. To be honest, though I liked how "clean" LTC was, I didn't think it does anything at all for the lashes, it might as well be clear.

Moving on, I did purchase Freshian the other day and had to try it -- the next day, of course.

The product says:

For long, lush lashes ,clean, natural looking lashes without any clumping

Here's a photo of my eyes, the one with, and the other without the mascara.

As you can see, I have non-existent eyelashes in real life. Heh :) But after 3 coats of TFS' Freshian Mascara, I look like a decent person. Just like Nikki, I have chinky eyes and it's so tough making them appear bigger. :(

What I liked:

  • Doesn't sting [some mascaras do sting]
  • Volumizes and does a little lengthening
  • No drug-like scent
  • Relatively cheap at Ps. 275.00 approximately USD 5.50
  • Minimal clumping
  • Not tough to look for if you live in Metro Manila. TFS is fast becoming available in most malls already

What I didn't like:

  • I had smudges of mascara come 4PM. I don't know if I should blame the mascara for this because I did drop Eye Mo on my eyes at noon.
  • But then again, I don't think it is waterproof :(
  • Tube looks so generic
  • Just a little lenghtening is what I experienced. Though it did say it was a Volumizing Mascara (bonks self on the head)

Am I gonna buy this again? Hmm. Let me think about it :) I am wanting to try out some stuff from Make up Forever and Paul & Joe. Speaking of which...

I dropped by Rustan's last Friday while waiting for TBF and here's the only item I was able to buy because TBF was already there.

Paul & Joe lipstick in # 19! I wasn't able to test some other stuff out because I'm particular with testing out lipsticks.I've been wanting to buy a new lipstick since summer hit Manila and I was able to do this last Friday. Yay! RJ, the SA who assisted me was very nice to point out that the one I originally liked washed out my features, so she recommended this instead. I want to mention as well that P & J SAs, or at least the one I encountered are very helpful and nice, well, as opposed to another SA I encountered. Erm, who is from another makeup brand available in Rustans' as well.

As for the lippy, I only tested it the night I bought it and haven't used it together with any other e/s I would suppose match with it. Have any suggestions? :)

Anyhoo, let me share my FOTD for last casual Friday :P

(excuse the peeling and baby hairs)

Face:
VOV Foundation/Concealer in 01 Pink Beige
L'oreal True Match in Sun Beige
Elegant Minerals Finishing Powder in Sand

Brows:
TFS Eye Brow Pencil in Brown
Maybelline Brow Styling Gel in Brown

Eyes:
E/s from the Body Shop eye and cheek palette
Clinique Liquid Eye Liner in Black
TFS Freshian Volumizing Mascara

Cheeks:
Nars Blush in Oasis

Lips:
MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner in Fuschia Fix

That's it :) Will do a review on the P & J lippy soon :)

Style Love: Amour Manila

>> Friday, April 3, 2009

I love dressing up. More than any vain thing I can do, dressing up is probably the only thing I would do even if I was penniless. (:

In an effort to play out my fashion/style fantasies, I do think (and prepare) an outfit every night for the morning after. If I hadn't had time to prepare anything and ended up wearing something "safe," I feel weird all day. Heehee.

When it comes to brands, I am no brand-snob. In fact, I even like shopping for fab BUT inexpensive clothing, that's why I regularly troop to SM and Landmark. IMO, those are the best places to go to to stock up on items that are "in" at the moment because trendy itemsare usually worn for a couple months only.

When I'm partying, or going out with friends, I rely on Filipino brands. Not only are they local, these new designers are overflowing with creativity and style in fashion --- my favorite being Amour Manila by Cheena Ng - Lio.

The name AMOUR carries its own definition
-- SECRET LOVE AFFAIR.

AMOUR gives you the feeling that a surreptitious affair offers.
Enticing,
alluring,
playful.

Amour allows you to be wild but wraps you with modishness
that restricts you from going beyond what is refined and superior.
As soon as you see beauty in the freedom that private moments give you,
YOU REVEAL.
In secrecy, you give everything away,
but we leave you with nothing
but PURE sense of FEMININITY…
PURE sense of PRIDE.

Amour is seen through its designs.
Excitement.
Foolishness in secrecy.
You crave it.
You breathe it.
You live through it.
See life within its timeless sheets, fabrics, cuts and flow.

AMOUR.

Style Love: Amour Manila

I love dressing up. More than any vain thing I can do, dressing up is probably the only thing I would do even if I was penniless. (:

In an effort to play out my fashion/style fantasies, I do think (and prepare) an outfit every night for the morning after. If I hadn't had time to prepare anything and ended up wearing something "safe," I feel weird all day. Heehee.

When it comes to brands, I am no brand-snob. In fact, I even like shopping for fab BUT inexpensive clothing, that's why I regularly troop to SM and Landmark. IMO, those are the best places to go to to stock up on items that are "in" at the moment because trendy items are usually worn for a couple months only.

When I'm partying, or going out with friends, I rely on Filipino brands. Not only am I supporting our own, these new designers are overflowing with creativity and style in fashion --- my favorite being Amour Manila by Cheena Ng - Lio

Seeing Amour's summer collection feels like drinking a mojito on a hot, summer day. Seriously, I hope I'd be partying and going to the beach a lot so I can buy and wear all these dresses!
